Toy Run |
By any measure, the 19th Annual Toy Run on December 6th, 1998, was a huge success. Over
1,000 people attended and over $9,000 was donated to Boys and Girls Country in the name of
Houston Area bikers. Oh yeah, there was also a little matter of the toys that the children
received from "Biker Santa"...

If these images are not enough, we also have a video available. If you'd like a copy,
please send your name, address and a check for $20 + $5 shipping and handling (ok, $25!)
payable to the Northwest San Jacinto High Rollers, PO Box 40861, Houston, Texas
77240-0861. As with all donations to the Toy Run, 100% of the proceeds
from the sale of the video go to the kids! Thank you.

Here's RD and Mike presenting Elaine Petranik of Boys Country a check for $9,200.00 in
the name of Houston Area Bikers. This does not include the proceeds from the video. |

And finally, I hate to end this on a sad note, but on Monday, December 7th (the day
after the Toy Run), Ray Potts died from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident
that happened while he was riding home after the Toy Run. Ray was a member of the Houston Area HOG chapter. A benefit is being
planned.
